Program Overview
This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles. These individuals may have supervisory performance accountabilities.
Individuals in these roles carry out a mix of specialist and moderately complex administrative or operational tasks that require self-development skills. They use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.
Entry Requirements
The following requirements need to be met prior to acceptance into this program:
- LLN requirements – students will undertake a brief LLN test to ensure they have the capacity to learn and complete all course requirements including assessments.
- Valid USI number
Program Structure
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 12 units of competency consisting of:
- BSBWHS411 Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs
- BSBXCM401 Apply communication strategies in the workplace
- BSBOPS404 Implement customer service strategies
- BSBXTW401 Lead and facilitate a team
- BSBLDR411 Demonstrate leadership in the workplace
- BSBCRT411 Apply critical thinking to work practices
- BSBOPS403 Apply business risk management processes
- BSBTWK401 Build and maintain business relationships
- BSBTEC404 Use digital technologies to collaborate in a work environment
- BSBWRT411 Write complex documents
- BSBPEF402 Develop personal work priorities
- BSBPEF502 Develop and use emotional intelligence
Program Outcome
Students who receive a competent outcome for each unit within this program will be entitled to receive BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business issued by Academy Green Learning.
Employment Outcomes
Successful completion of BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business may lead to careers in the following job roles:
- Office Administrator
- Personal Assistant
- Records Manager
- Analyst
Traineeship
- Student must be employed under a traineeship under a Training Contract.
- Access to a workplace where administrative tasks are routine with industry equipment and resources.
- To be eligible for funding, the student must be a New Entrant trainee (within 3 months) and be:
- Aged 15 years or older
- no longer at school
- living or working in NSW
- an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen

Course fees
This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.
The current student fee for this course under a traineeship is $0.
For existing worker traineeships, these are not funded. For existing worker trainees or fee-for-service students, the fee will be dependent on delivery mode and other factors.
